  3. This was sarcasm, when a judge sets a cash bond for the amount that she presumes would be enough to cover restitution and says it is a cash bond for that purpose. That is biased and I thought they took an oathe not to be that way and to provide justice not form their own opinion before faced with the facts. And by the way the lady was not 96 when this happened and she is not old and fragile like she was made out to be. Maybe her son should try to find who really stole from her. Amanda wasn't the only one that worked there. The ring at the pawn shop was not identifiable by the police it was presumed the ladies since it was pawned by Amanda. Once again presumptions can be misleading. All I want the public to know is there are two sides to every story and in our criminal justice system or I should say in judge Harpers court you can get very little time if you are convicted of a drug crime which KILLS people and overrated publicity if you are convicted of stealing from the elderly. A victim is a victim no matter what age. I wish everyone could of heard how prejudiced and biased the judge was in this case and many others. She probably wouldnt get all the votes she has gotten if the public knew how she really worked. Oathe means nothing to her

  4. By the way restitution was pd. The judge ordered bond at what she presumed would be the amount of restitution. Guilty before proven innocent. Gotta love our system

  5. It is truly a shame to see that our society has created so many judgemental people. It is also a shame that so many feel the need to comment on things they know very little about. The news is driven to give the negatives because that is what sells I get that but so many lives are judged based on the way things are worded. You see some of our court appointed attorney's aren't representing these individuals. They are merely guiding them to a quick resolution. Amanda was told to plead quilty and would not receive jail time, that it would be an argued sentence but since she was a first time felony offender she would not go to jail. Being young and nieve she listened to who was suppose to have her best interest at heart. Well he then failed to show up for the argued sentencing. The bank that cashed some of the checks verified with the owner of the checks before cashing them. Funny how things can be misconstrude when we don't know everything. Also to Flyer when you are going to court the court asks the facility to give a progress report it is not someting done on a daily bases so yes to have 3 good reports and 1 bad is pretty good and does in no way means spoiled or a selfish.brat. This supposed crime occured before Amanda was pregnant and so no she is not using her daughter to get out she is just wanting to be a part of her daughters life. Maybe we should all focus our comments and energy on helping our inmates achieve the proper counseling to become better and more responsible members of our communities when they come home. Instead of knowing that their success rate is low compared to the rest of us. They are there for a reason and locking them up and treating them like less than human beings isn't the proper way to rehabilitate someone. Hope none of your friends or family ever get in trouble..Thank you to "onlythetruth" for not being so rude and judgemental. You are a blessing to those around you I'm sure.
