My name is Joe Smith. I am the developer behind a new product from NOAA's Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) known as the Great Lakes Water Level Dashboard. Here you are able to browse the entire historical record of water levels from 1860 to present. You can find the dashboard here at the GLERL's water levels page:
http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/data/now/wlevels/levels.html
Just click on the large screenshot of the dashbaord and it will load.
Within the next few weeks we will be updating the dashboard with select projections of future water levels and paleological reconstructions for perspective. Additionally, by the end of the year we hope to have select hydrological/climate data, including precipitation, evaporation, runoff, and net basin supplies (NBS) available for viewing.
The app is sponsored by the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. You may find out more about that at: http://glri.us/
Thanks! This should help guide discussion of great lakes water levels going forward.
