  5. I agree with you, and I have attended several town council meetings. I did speak in person against a certain issue at that time, and I am sorry to say, the council did not listen to the many, many citizens who spoke against the issue. Although I agree with you, I have seen in person that it really does no good, not in Hammond at least.

  6. The Mansard's needs to Get Rid of Section 8!!! Several Hammond Properties have refused section 8, and only have a handful of problem tenants, which are booted out quickly and legally. Let these trouble makers move back to Illinois, where most of them came from.

  7. This is horrible! My heart goes out to all of the families. I have a solution for the gang problem. Since they are heartless, worthless thugs, and continue to kill, steal, and destroy anything, and anyone that isn’t theirs, and all the jails are all full……put their punk, wanna-be tough butts in the military!! They are so great with guns, well let them go to Afghanistan! Then we can send back our soldiers who are rebuilding and dying from disarming bombs. Let the thugs rebuild what we torn down in the battle of war (this I will NEVER understand, we attack them, then we help rebuild? WTF???) If they do not want to work there, and try to be reformed into a half way decent citizen, then put them in jail there, or in a tent in the desert with only the basic needs to survive.   10. The police came to my place of business today to show me a picture of this girl, and they said she was in her late teens or early 20's. She did not look to be in her 30's, not sure where the Times get their info from! I hope they find her killer soon! Rest In Peace.
