CitizenVoter ~ Nope ... no unions involved in this. It has been apparent in my community that the "union" is truly week. This was EXTREMELY GRASS ROOTS ... we, teachers, active and retired , actively and aggressively campaigned FOR Glenda and AGAINST Tony.(and it would have been against Mitch, too had he been able to run again) Tony is NOT for children, teachers, or education. Tony is for Tony and FOR PROFIT education and lining his pockets. Tony stopped being an educator and became a politician long ago....as frequently happens in all professions as individuals rise to the top. They simply stop thinking about what is best for the majority and focus on what will help them personally and professionally. It is an ego trip. If he truly cared, he would have listened to the professionally educational practitioners in the classroom.
