This situation is almost in disbelief. I have listened the Dr. Schaap numerous times but this sentence seems extreme to say the least.Who is ready to cast the first stone.I feel for the church and congregation who are feeling the ultimate betrayal.Please show some mercy to Dr.Schaap. Remember in some states you can get married at 14.The girl could not of been that ignorant. 12 Years is excessive for this when this goes on all the time .Its not right but mercy should be the case here.

The deacons followed this man blindly and would laugh at his lame jokes in his sermons like he was Gods gift to eternity. Hopefully the church will survive but hopefully the deacons will not be so blind in the future.

This has been so heartbreaking and shocking. We must remember we all have sinned. It seems like prison is over kill .I wish he would come out with public repentance since he was a public figure.
