  1. Im not "crying" Towers, just pointing out that you blindly followed him like he was the second coming of Christ.
Conflict of interest, no, I don't see a conflict in the case of a 3 person panel there are still 2 other votes.
Yes we are in a better place without the political hacks brought in by Towers. Both had legal problems and a checkered past. We don't need anyone else's trash. Money comes in and it is spent on what needs it needs to be spent on. The reason the money has to be spent is because of your old buddy King Towers who spent money like it was going out of style and left the village in a hole. Am I angry that the current government diverted funds to pay bills so we don't have penalties on top of the bills? No. I am angry that King Towers and his cronies are not in jail.
I cant wait till you tell us who you are supporting in the next election.

  2. Its called state law..... you know "laws" the rules we are supposed to live by and follow? This must be something strange to a follower of the now abdicated King Towers.

  3. The water was tested and declared safe by the Illinois EPA, not the village. The idea that the village employees are somehow involved in some conspiracy about water is a figment of your imagination as it would involve not just village officials but state employees that are a completely separate unit. Please provide any proof of linkage in the real world if you have any. If not dont imply that it exists.

  4. A judge has to follow the law. I hope this one follows the law and doesnt put in political hacks from someplace else in cook county.

  5. You are just full of sour grapes since your King Towers abdicated.
The water reports are not linked to the village but the IL EPA. Believe who you want, you wont believe anything anyway.
As for who's political garbage we should buy into.... well those who were aligned with our abdicated King Towers should be on the bottom of the list.

Isnt this how we ended up with King Towers?

  7. @linda3711
They are not my "buddies" but elected officials that are following the law. As opposed to King Towers and his imperial edicts.
Yes more people voted for the water than against it. But only after King Towers and his people told some out and out lies (I heard them). Like renters wouldn't have to pay more. While technically true if the water bill is included in rent, no landlord will eat that cost forever, expect your rent to go up next lease with extra to cover what they already lost.
Actually Mayor Peckham was in charge when the contract was signed, not the current trustees. But in any event if we didnt loose businesses under the Towers administration, more were brought in, or they were not scared away by his court battles Towers started we wouldn't be paying more.
In reality Sauk Village was a rather nice place to live before Lewis Towers was elected King. There are no Gods but there are elected officials who now have a lack of funds thanks to the Towers legal bills. So if you want something done, perhaps call him and see if he will reimburse the village for his failed edicts.

  8. Water bills have gone up sky high, who can we blame? Lewis Towers who pushed for the water referendum. That referendum spelled out that water rates would go up. Was it the trustees that wanted a plan that would have cost 1/4th of the money that caused water bills to go up? NO.
Can Government run on pocket lint? No. Why are we in this mess? Lewis Towers kept running up large legal bills (over 1 million) trying to ignore the votes cast in village government and force his edicts on us all. Are the trustees to blame because Lewis Towers couldn't work with others and didn't understand that votes count so he ran to lawyers? NO.
Where is the money to come from? Well we can either default on obligations and pay fees for the defaults in addition to what we owe or shift money around while waiting for other money to come in. Is it the current leadership in the village that caused this lack of money? No, read preceding paragraph.
Taxes have gone up? Why? Because the economy went belly up and the administration lead by Lewis Towers didn't bring in businesses to replace those that left. Who was in charge? Lewis Towers. Is it the fault of the current leadership that Lewis Towers as mayor didn't bring in businesses, but in all likelihood scarred them away by constant battles in village government? No.
What you are pretending is that the current people in village government are all at fault. Is that reality? No!. So unlike you I am happy that the village business is going forward. Running to the courts so a King can force edicts on us all because he ignores voting is in the past.
Of course you cant please everyone all the time. But I think no matter what happens you will never be satisfied and complain and lay the blame on those that are not at fault. Is that fair to them? No, but you have been doing it for some time and it doesn't look like you are going to change.

  9. You must really be bitter after your King abdicated to write this poison in a story about how its better now that he is gone.
November 16, 2012 1:33 pm on Message of healing and hope at Sauk Village meeting
  10. It was probably cheaper to pay him some kind of settlement/severance than to go to court and pay lawyers tons of money to make him leave.
King Towers might not have had knowledge of this deal because he was probably writing his abdication email.
