Charter Schools have already been proven to be the answer for children stuck in failing school systems. Pouring more money into failing schools, 'enhancing' programs, and changing curriculum have been tried and failed.
Breaking the monoply of the Teachers' Union will *help* solve the problem. Why should the state FORCE kids to go somewhere inferior? If the public school was not inferior, the kid would want to go there.
The State or Teachers Union have no business dictating to parents. Vouchers are the best choice for parents and children.

A Union is a monopoly run by politicians without accountability or checks and balances. Union dues are calculated to workers' pay? Well of course unions fight for highest pay possible.

Workers dare to question the all powerful?? Release the hounds.
