- I don't know if this was the case today since it wasn't sunny out, but with the sun you can't tell if the lights are flashing. Yes, gates are necessary! There is too much traffic around here and we are lucky there wasn't a derailment and a haz mat situation.

- I am a locomotive engineer for another railroad and if I ran a train in this area I would be nervous everyday. 95 percent of the time when a train hits a car its the "idiot" drivers fault. This is the 5 percent. These lights are very dim and very hard to see during the day. This train was going north and if this train was going 40 mph you would not see or hear this until its too late. This is not a fault of the train crew or driver. Its a fault of Lake county and Csx railroad. This is 2012 and gates need to be at these three crossings

- This is a very high traffic area. There are three crossings in this area and none of them have gates. The lights at these crossings are very dim and when its not dark out it is hard to see. There should be gates at all three of these crossings. I have told my wife for years that csx and lake county will not do anything until someone gets killed.
