  1. I wonder how Porter County Schools would do if they entered the Science Olympiad competition that will be held at Purdue Calumet next weekend. I think Wilbur Wright Middle School and some other Lake County Schools would blow them away.

  2. My heart goes out too all the families who were affected by that shooting. It was a nice gesture to collect those animals. Also it was nice to make all those snowflakes. Can you imagine how many donations they have gotten across the US. In my mind doing all these things were a way to give us a way to feel helpful, in a helpless situation. If everyone would just hug their kid an extra minute, or give of their time to help out their local school in honor of those who were lost, I think that would be the greatest gift of all.

  5. The weather for the popcorn festival was nice but in the sun, it was pretty hot.  I saw dogs that looked overheated and were panting. I'm a dog lover.  I wouldn't bring my dog to a festival unless it was geared for pets.  In my opinion, people who bring their dogs to a large event do it to get attention. Save your outings for the dog park.
