  1. I wish to express my condolences to Quentin Smith's family. I met Mr. Smith at Home Depot five years ago. He was wearing a Tuskegee Airmen jacket and I thanked him for his service to our country. I was surprised to learn he was almost 90 since he had the energy level of a much younger man. We chatted about the home improvement projects we were tackling that weekend. He was such a sweet & charming man. I have enjoyed reading about his military service and his career in education over the years. NW Indiana was blessed to have him. I pray his family is comforted at this difficult time.
