Accident happened close to my home and I came upon it on my way home from work yesterday. Parents please warn your children of the dangers of walking down two lane country roads as it is getting dark. My prayers to this family.

Both of my children attend Lake Central Schools and both brown bag it. They were tired of getting brown lettuce in their salads, white carrots from being old and soft apples. I don't understand why we cannot provide our children better fruits and veggies - especially since we have Bakker Produce right in the area. Maybe apple sauce, fruit juices or a hot veggie could be offered in addition if it is a matter of fresh produce being too costly. We should provide our children edible fruits and veggies if we want them to eat them.
As for budget cuts and being asked to do more than what is in your job description, it is like that all over the US (even in the corporate world). Be thankful you have a job and it was not cut!
