- As a former softball coach for 12 years, i can say I would have liked to see Coach Sherman take the blame for that horrendous 4th inning. When a young athlete is getting"rocked" like the LC pitcher was, it is the coaches responsibility to make a change for the good of that player.....whether it be a freshman or a senior!!!! I felt sorry for the young pitcher, she was put in a very difficult position (regional game) and did well for the first 3 innings. The coach should have noted that the Chesterton team started to hit the ball hard in the 3rd inning.
