  1. I don't understand something. Ms. Tompkins states that Miss Cooper's 60 year sentence will be shortened by half for good behavior ("1 day for every day of good behavior"). She plead guilty in 1986, so at best she should not be released until 2016. By her own admission, Cooper stated that she had problems in prison early on and was not a "model" prisoner. That would mean her release should be even later. What's going on here?
    I also did not feel from this article that she is the least bit remorseful, except for what it has done to her life.
