I never saw the comment that caused your response, but I am sure it was quite distasteful. I commend the fire department for their efforts in containing the fire. I am a firefighter myself, so I fully support all the women and men who fought the fire all morning

It actually looks like the hose is attached to a deck gun. Therefore he isn't sitting on the hose, he is just supervising to make sure that the deck gun works appropriately.

You forgot about the escalated wait time for emergency response services and the fact that the citizens will pay all costs to a service that SHOULD BE provided to them. Why yes, charge the citizens of Hobart for taxes AND now they have to pay more additionally for medical services! Sounds great

You're not okay with cutting the city employee hours, but your okay with 12 to 14 firefighters losing their jobs completely? ALMOST makes sense. not. It would make more sense to make cuts in other places besides the city's SAFETY! Safety first.
