- Considering I am always on a southshore train with standing room only at 4:00pm I find that hard to believe. The price of train tickets/passes are just unreal! For a monthly pass its $186.00 per person. I'd love to see where all that revenue is being stashed because it certainly isn't visible to the riders. The poster boards on the train are still advertising events that happened in August of 2012! Please southshore do something about these pass prices! And if we have to stand the entire ride, give us a discount of some sort !!!!

- @ Alacran your obviously extremely uneducated by your post, but besides the facts...Portage is only becoming worse because of the people that are intruding the city.. just as hammond, highland, east chicago... act. Parents need to protect their children from the streets, teach them proper manners, respect, and guidance. The world in its entirety is becoming worse day by day not a particular city. People have no regard for a life any more... the cost of a repo (if he even was a repo man) is literally in the hundreds... someones life is worth that You, and YOU only did not pay the car payment or debt of some sort so a 72 year old working man, WORKING for a living to eat sleep and survive loses his life minutes after stepping on his front porch... RIGHT... maybe if people instill values and respect into their growing children we wouldn't have tons n tons of murders in the area due to a couple nickels and dimes... Get Real!

- UMM SOMEONE who works nights or maybe someone with a sick child at home and to make them feel better you go rent them a movie???? There are countless reasons why he was up at 4 am. My husband gets off work at 430 am and I used to get off at about 3 when I worked at my previous job. That was our "5:00pm" You truly are an idiot to think for one moment this was the victims fault by any means!..

It was a terrible accident and a man lost his life. - I understand that neither have been proven innocent or guilty, what I am saying is each and every previous comment is about him being toast and I have overheard people saying out loud that he should die and so fourth. That is completely unfair and ridiculous. People are 100% convicting him day 1. Its not fair and nobody knows the real situation. So far from what I understand her father forced her to say these things... Nobody was there.. nobody knows... therefore nobody should say anyone should die or anything of that nature.
