(1) It is 100% legal for individuals to CONSUME alcohol in Indiana on Sunday...the law applies only to Indiana stores being able to SELL on Sundays.
(2) Liquor store owners complaining about increased labor costs are under no obligation to open their store on Sunday (or any other day for that matter). If you don't want your labor costs to go up, just stay closed as you do now. Non issue! Anyway, I would suspect that any additional staff costs would be more than offset by increased revenues...especially at stores near state lines.
(3) Churches complaining that parishoners will be out shopping for liquor instead of going to church is simply ridiculous. (Remember...they could already be home drinking or out at a bar if they wanted to, so the only thing that would change is now they could be out shopping for booze.)

There's only one group that should be opposed to this change...bar owners. In all likelihood, they would be the only business owners negatively impacted since there would certainly be some consumers who would purchase and take home to drink instead of going out to a bar.
Since the current rules would seemingly result in more people going out to bars to drink (and then driving home after consuming), I would suggest that passing this law would be to our benefit as it should at least reduce the number of impaired drivers on our roads one day of the week...
