- Seriously, what is wrong with you people? A young woman was hit by an automobile, are you not seeing that? Perhaps you are the person in front of me at a stoplight who is texting instead of watching the road...or are you the overweight person snacking while driving? This girl was out for a run and her life has irreparably been altered because a coward did not want to take responsibility for their actions. As parents we should be teaching our kids accountability for their actions...make them understand that driving is a responsibility and show them that each time we are behind the wheel. To blame the victim of an accident is honestly about as low a blow as this girl can receive. I do not care if she has made poor choices today or in the past, this is no excuse for "adults" calling getting hit by a car "poetic justice"... What kind of people are we in The Region anyway....I see a young person who will have a struggle ahead of her, not someone deserving of our sick humor.
