Don't know who set the trap, but I think that person will have company in that special place---Here is her full story from the Dune Acres paper---http://www.duneacres.org/Beachcombers/201302.pdf
On my way home from work recently, I saw what I
thought was a dead animal in the road near the
intersection of Mineral Springs Road and Highway
12. I thought I would move the body out of the
road. When I stopped, I was horrified to discover
that it was a raccoon who had one of his paws
caught in a leg trap. He/she had tried to chew their
foot off but had not been successful. What was
more horrifying was that this poor precious
creature was still alive. Not willing to let this poor
baby suffer any longer, I did what I could which
was get into my car and run he/she over with the
car several times. Given the circumstances, it
seemed the best idea in a terrible situation.
I don’t know what kind of sick piece of garbage
would use such a trap, but I hope there is a special
place for them to burn in eternity.
She dragged the poor animal out into the road and ran it over again and again. Why didn't she call DNR or animal control? What a sorry excuse for a human being.
