  1. He was a lousy teacher when I had him. Taught marketing and business while I was there and often had a bad case of foot in mouth syndrome. Now if he had actual marketing and business experience he would have learned how things work in the real world. In the real world people will try to get you fired. Bottom line, he was bested by his inferiors/underlings. Not very business savvy at all. No he wouldn't shoot your kids but he was as qualified to teach business as I am to teach Japanese.

  3. It's an awful shame that you've forgotten what The Christian Brothers taught you about bullying. Once again, I am a liberal supporter of Obama. Are you incapable of carrying yourself in a respectful manner? Grow up.

  4. It establishes a validity of one religion over another. What about demoninations that do believe in marriage equality? (And there are denominations and religions that do)

  5. Bobsr, I couldn't disagree with your last statement anymore that I already do. This 16 year old should be lauded for caring enough to even participate. I'm 25, and I never see anyone around my own age at the polls and I've been voting since I was 18. I don't agree with the 16 year old's letter or his talking points, but I applaud him for caring at all when most people don't.

  6. Liberal Obama supporter here, and I find this letter disgusting. I have my doubts that a person with an IQ of 150 would spend their time bullying a high school sophomore in a local newspaper. Jerry responded to Tom Vukelic without making insinuations about his appearance or belittling him for his age. If your IQ is in fact 150, you should be able to grasp the following things I'm about to say to you: 1) You're making liberals look bad. 2) You're making union members look like thugs. 3) You're disenfranchising our youth from participating in the process. 4) For all of your book knowledge you haven't seemed to emotionally mature past 12, and I am being generous in saying 12. 5) Please reconsider identifying as a liberal and a union member whenever you decide to speak. We don't need your kind of representation.

Lastly, Jerry if you're reading this (and most likely laughing at the response his letter garnered) stick with it. I'm not too much older than you, and we hold very different beliefs, but participation from our generation will only improve the quality of our political parties. Combating apathy will make for stronger Democrats, stronger Republicans, and a stronger county.
