- Susan, you need to pay attention. the rupubs downstate are forcing lake county to add a county income tax. they said they dont think it is fair that lake county gets aid from the whole state while not taxing the counties own residents. fair or not, i assume since NW IN is largely Dem, that its Dems you should thank for not having a county tax for as long as you have.
