Isnt it just silly that this even has to be a discussion? Where has common sense and concern for our fellow man gone? The fact that people have to be told these things is just astounding!

Lora, you are right and it is unfortunate how the rules for most everyone are regarding when it comes to being ill and having to go to work.If a facility of any type can implement changes they should include their employees getting paid for the very illness they are trying to control. I feel that if this rule is being implemented to people to stay away and stay home when your ill than it should come with paid sick days.
Will people abuse it? Yes there are those who will and it would be foolish to think otherwise but I do believe that when an entire nation is being warned and told how to control it than employers need to be on board and not punish the employee or anyone they come in contact with spreading an illness and forcing them to do so by holding illness against them and notpaying them while they are home sick. What about those who dont work for whatever reason that get ill and wont get paid but have to now pay for medical care and rx to get better.

Wow I can't believe anyone would complain about having to participate in a proactive common sense approach to handle a very serious situation. The fact that everyone is vulnurable should be enough muchless the most vulnurable of people elderly, newborns, pediatrics, heart paitients and anyone who is there in the hospital.
I do also agree that no employee should be allowed to work ill that is also common sense especially at a hospital.
I applaud the Franscian Order for caring for all to take this position. Not going to these hospitals would not be in order at all. Actually, very much the oppisite they CARE.
Be grateful and considerate to and for one another and don't forget the love!
