  1. Agreed... my question as a parent... am I liable for the photos on my kids cell phones? After all, the phones are in MY NAME (and I am an adult).

    I am appalled by these parents who are not taking any responsibility for their child's actions here. What is wrong w/ society today, everyone wants to "blame" someone & no one will take responsibility.

  2. what planet are you living on? "Poor judgement" -- they honestly did not know that having a nude photo was against the law? Go, drink some more kool-aid that your children are serving you & click your heels together & say "there's no place like home, there's no place like home"... am sure you'll feel better after.

    Oh... and many parents feel this was handled VERY appropriately & professional as well. I'm actually impressed it was handled so swiftly last week.

    If nothing was done I am sure a good # of parents would be complaining about it getting swept under the rug.

    I know (& saw) one of the first boys boys parents @ MHS Thrs... you know, the one whose father is a lawyer so don't tell me they were denied access to mom & dad (oh... he is 18 too so mommy & daddy can't help him now)

    But you would prefer this be kept hush-hush like last months drug bust, right? After all, they did not know that drugs on school property (even in their car) was not permitted.

  3. whats sad is since the girl(s) involved took / sent the photo(s) "off campus" / off school property -- they are NOT in trouble.

    They are the source... isn't that like being a distributor of p*rn? These photos were NOT secretly taken of them, they took them freely of themselves & sent them out. The boys are not angels but these girls are coming off too clean. Maybe the school cannot do anything to them but I hope the prosecutor can charge them w/ disturbing kiddie p*rn or something else to teach them a lesson as well.

  4. don't u think the kids suspended learned anything??
    1 - that this is WRONG - the girls sending the photos, the boys keeping them, that these were passed around like a bad chain letter, etc...!
    2 - that they are not "above" the rules / law (what constitutes kiddie p*rn?)
    3 - no matter what, you must be respectful of others

  8. am impressed this received a "mention" - figured the school would keep a lid on it, will be interesting to see how it gets swept under the rug. This is HUGE... lots of student involved. there are students who are over 18 yrs of age involved, there are athletes involved , students have been suspended.
