- Good. Congrats to Rick Rifa. Thank you to The Times for the story that exposed the vile amount of over-spending. I am still shocked they think they need eight, count 'em, EIGHT take-home cars. For what? Welcome Wagon visits? And then, the topper, to pull the "race card" on this one? Really, Earline? Really, Karen? Calling an investigation and transparency in government a racist behavior is an insult to the true racism that exists in this nation. Apparently, it takes a downstate spanking to get you ladies to listen. Well, I sure hope they have your ears by now. You have embarrassed us yet again, trying to defend this gross misappropriation of tax money which has gone on for decades. Today, it stops. The gravy train derailed, and I could not be happier.

- Why is everyone so afraid of naming the hospital which took care of Mr. Asner? This is the umpteenth time I have read a report, either local or national, where the hospital was referred to as "an area hospital". He's gone, why can't anyone name it? It sounds silly to keep saying he was taken to an area hospital...we have SEVERAL in the area.

- @Joey C...so you never visited the beaches along Lake Michigan? How about the bike trails through the county? Hiking trails in the dunes? They are pretty cool and quite beautiful. It's pretty harsh to say there is nothing here...it just isn't true. Either you aren't looking or aren't trying. Get out and live a little and explore. You'd be surprised at what you'll find.
