- That's right people the entire decline of Griffith and 200% crime increase is directly related to "The Mansards" being located next to Gary. In an effort to sound some what more informed you may want to ride through the Mansards and take note of vehicles in the lot and the state they have been plated, but is our crime rate related to being so close to Illinois?! Seriously people neither Gary or Illinois is the issue, regardless of where the residents relocated from our P.D. needed to contain, and control the crime in town long before a 200% increase occurred, they did not. This is not about loyalty to those with longevity it is about job performance and safety. I for one am tired of feeling a need to lock everything down, turn on the alarm and still worry all day that everything will be there when I return home!

- Black Oak section? I grew up in Black Oak and my mother NEVER had a dirty floor nor were her children ever dirty or left unattended. I have Never used drugs(or tried) and don't drink. I also know those we knew from Black Oak were like our family, hard working, clean, responsible people. Seems to me your "duplex neighborhoods" are just, Ahhh, the lovely Portage neighborhoods!
