1. Feds trump state train horn laws.
2. Train horns whistle whip people into submission.
3. Railroad comes in and makes a fortune in overcharges and stolen signal equipment (OURS).
4.Somebody (not railroads) has to pay for ridiculous priced liability insurance so railroad is hold harmless.
5.The crossings for GPS crew-less trains hid behind the curtains not a problem for railroads.
6. Warren Buffett starts his 41st vault of silver.
Also a corrupt US Supreme Court says if WE pay $1 for these POS signs the rail, roads are hold harmless. The problem ---The railroads/state have lost the old records thus this criminal fraud.
Where is the law that says the old POS signs aren't any good so we pay $800 a crossing to these RR thieves with NO bids taken as required by law.

Dear Mr. Pines:
This letter is in response to your repeated complaints to the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regarding highway-rail grade crossing incidents and railroad track conditions during the last year. You have made these complaints using the Alleged Violation Reporting Form on the FRA Web site. FRA staff members have been diligent in their efforts to investigate your complaints and in communicating our findings; however, FRA has consistently found the complaints to be without merit.
It appears your recent complaints were made without first-hand knowledge of the incidents that you referenced, but, instead, were based solely on media reports regarding incidents that occurred in various locations around the country. Often, media reports are preliminary in nature and may not contain all of the relevant information regarding a particular incident. Addressing complaints has consumed a disproportionate amount of FRA's regulatory oversight resources.
It is FRA's longstanding practice to investigate any safety complaint irrespective of its origin or source. To that end, FRA receives and responds to numerous credible safety complaints each year. Given that FRA has limited resources, we must necessarily focus on addressing those complaints that reveal actual safety conditions necessitating timely FRA oversight and/or enforcement action.
FRA appreciates your concern in railroad safety;however, to most effectively fulfill our safety responsibilities, we cannot commit to investigate any further complaints that you raise.
Sincerely,
Jo Strang
Associate Administrator for Railroad Safety/Chief Safety Officer
