In fairness to the teachers, I believe the AFT has tried time and time again to communicate with the CURRENT Superintendent on issues that are related to the students and their success.I would imagine after reading some of the comments that some of you have not attended too many board meetings when teachers and residents said they tried to contact the CURRENT Superintendent (email, phone, etc) and he would not respond. Similar to not responding to the article in this paper about the EC Schools and the F they received from the State. Ironic though, he quickly responded to this billboard article. Maybe he is trying to avoid the deja vu of Mich. City. Where are the priorities? Bravo to the AFT as this apparently opened his eyes more than an email or call. Maybe he and certain "executive staff" members at the blue building on Columbus will start to listen??? Maybe they can start by learning about the community they work in before passing along their brand of education. EC DESERVES TO BE HEARD!!

I hear they hired many admin persons plus a duplicate position (new) for almost 80K that just happens to be the ex ec police chiefs son (Chris F.)that is not even needed. WHAT IS HIS EXPERIENCE?? only in ec
