I agree Irene.Parents are scared to spank their kids and that is why they have no respect for anyone.There is a BIG difference between spanking and abuse just ak my husband who was abused 17yrs.of his life by 9 different foster home families.I was spanked but not abused.My children when they needed it was spanked they were not abused.They are now 20 and 17.Who have respect for others.

They are paid though the goverment.When LTV closed the goverment took over their pentions.Its a fact you are not retirment age.I am sorry to inform you but medicare is not enough to cover it all.In fact even with the insurance that yes you pay into even when retired its not enough.Dont get me wrong it helps a lot but you are still left paying.If it wasnt for the insurance my parents would have been in a heap load of trouble last year when my mom had triple by pass because she was not old enough for medicare.

You have NO idea what your talking about.Retirees need the health care and they worked for this and may I add worked hard for it.They paid their dues and deserve everything they get.

Thank you.You summed up it well.You are SO right about health problems my dad has a breathing problem brought on by the mill.You are also right by saying that they had to continue working there because they had a family to feed.Dad always said it was not the best job but it was one.When back in the 80's jobs were scarce he still had his.Again thank-you.God Bless You.

I have read all these comments and some notice I said some have no idea what your talking about.My dad worked his butt off in this mill retired 5yrs ago.
Some of you are saying more or less to forget about the ones who are retired.Who cares about there pentions or health care.Well let me just say they worked for that 30yrs or more.My dad and 100's more need there health care.They already have taken away there dental whats next?
My dad worked hard like many others.They deserve this they worked there lives for this.As the ones working now and getting ready to retire.Do I think the big shots care about the little people no I dont but they should people like my dad and many before him and after deserve there benfits.Please those of you who know nothing get your facts right before saying anything.I also understand there are those out there who are against unions so be it but dont put down the ones that do.
