  2. I'm all for the "volunteer" duties for welfare recipients. All of Lake County roads and streets need a good cleaning. Am I the only one that can't figure out why people throw their garbage out the car windows? We have garbage cans (refuse holders) almost at every grocery store entrance, strip malls, restaurants, gas stations, etc. Keep a bag in your car and throw it into one of these cans when you get out of your car! The sideroads and ditches have to be cleaned during each season!! We live in a pigsty here in Lake County.

  3. Many years ago, Republican candidates on the far south east side of Chicago jumped the fence and became Democrats overnight. They realized they could not win an election for Ward Committee person or a Chicago Councilman as a Republican.

  4. How else is north Lake County going to get money from South Lake County for all the subsidized public assistance programs for Gary, Hammond, Whiting and East Chicago?
    Got to show "our charity" to the drug dealers, prostitutes, illegal immigrants, etc. Just read where Gary is building apartments--60-- for the homeless. Guess who is going to pay for these? Suckers!!!

  8. Totally agree with you, mungrad1. I think Doug Ross hired this Rich James guy just to toot his liberal thinking. I used to like when The Times was the newspaper to read because of its family values and conservative thinking. Now the tables are turned and it behooves me to think Doug Ross doesn't see the corruption and egos associated with the Democratic Party in Lake County, especially those of Charlie Brown and Earline Rogers. Everything is "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme". Wish they would tell their voters to cross their legs and keep their pants zippered and not burden our area with so many kids that they can't take responsibility. We're not living in villages in Lake County to raise your kids for you!

  9. Wish someone would introduce a bill in Congress that people in their 80's, 90's and 100's do not have to fill and pay income taxes. I have been doing my folks for 12 years now as they can't comprehend, write, see or hear to even attempt these forms let alone the computers.
    Again, common sense is not heard of in politics.

  10. I have a hard time understanding why people adore Hillary Clinton. She is a phony and a user.
    She stuck with Bill all the while knowing he is a "player" just like JFK. I thought Benghazi would do her in but the liberal press didn't have much coverage and then said "she is the most admired woman in the world". Lucky woman but don't know why!
