- I'm fine with being evaluated. As a teacher with a Master's degree and 10 years teaching experience, I am still fully aware that I can always improve my craft. But I question two things-- can we implement a parent evaluation? It seems only fair, since parent involvement (or lack thereof) is one of the biggest factors that plays into student achievement. Second, many teachers question the ability of some of our administrators to evaluate us effectively. Many of these administrators are so out of touch with what we actually do in the classroom day to day and would not be "effective" if they were back in our shoes. How many more days until Daniels and Bennett are out of office? My classroom door has always been open and anyone who wants to see my teach is always welcome--what's best for my students is ALWAYS at the forefront of my mind when I walk into my classroom each morning and it is evident when anyone walks into my room!
