You people are out of your minds! To imply the community is not safe because this man is a police officer who's SON was convicted of murder, is CRAZY!! What is he going to do...drive around Crown Point and surrounding areas KILLING people until Dustin is released from prison? GET A GRIP ON REALITY people! This case is CLOSED...MOVE ON to the next stupid thing that will fill your "lives"!

Alpha...what kind of rumors are you hearing? I have heard my fair share as well and am not at all surprised that a change is happening. Just wondering what took so long for this to happen. I really believe that people have closed their eyes over the last 5-10 years what has been going on there...way to go whoever is responsible for making those decisions to bring in someone new. I hope things get better, but I think it will be a long time before the community gets behind them again.

Why would someone who has run this organization for 7 years and has done so "successfully", abruptly leave? Very curious as to the details...was there any mismanagement within the organization or did those who "know", realize it might have been "SMOKE and MIRRORS"????

Does the School Board think the taxpayers are stupid? A very scripted press release that clearly was negotiated with Kaiser. If she resigned on her own to "pursue other opportunities" there would be no need for a severance agreement. Just sayin...

What is your definition of "full Police protection"? Last I checked, Winfield is part of Lake County...the LAKE COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT is responsible for enforcing laws in LAKE COUNTY! When there is an issue in Winfield, it's not like the Police are sitting on every corner and can respond immediately...like in Crown Point where they have CPPD AND LCPD at every intersection! Get a grip, Commodore!
