Why do you say that Tiretrax? It wouldn’t be any different than it is now. Where on land deeds, etc. does it ever ask for the gender of a person? If X and X are married does it really matter what gender they are? Why should a gay person lose everything because their partner dies? Right now you can’t get SS and many insurances after a death. You have to pay an inheritance tax, straight couples don’t, it just all goes the surviving spouse. You see, some of us DO think past the end of our noses. I assume you are a hetro married person. You have no idea all the benefits that are afforded to you that you take for granted, that a gay couple A. doesn’t have the opportunity to receive, or B. has to pay a lawyer BIG BUCKS to have documents drawn up. Do you realize a gay partner can legally be turned away at the hospital.. even if they have been together for say 30 years, because they aren’t "FAMILY"?...I could go on, but I am sure you won’t listen.. yuo are stuck in the man vs woman mentality...things change. This is 2013.

While you may have a point i.e. money talks, I think you are putting the cart in front of the horse. Let’s just slow it down. Let gays marry and then we will all see the world is still the just as messed up as if they didn’t and NOTHING really changed, straight men are still safe...LOL. I guess I am just so offended when people pullout the religion card. There are so many religions and we could all debate the good, the bad and the ugly of each and every one. I just think this issue, to me anyway, is more about rights and not religion. Survivors rights, SS, visiting your love one in a hospital etc.. in essence I guess you could say FINACIAL...LOL P.S. Thanks for not having anything against me.. I was feeling as if you did..:)
