  3. Maybe the scandal is folks taking out loans they can never afford ? nothing different than the home mortgage or credit card fiasco. Maybe you shouldn't get $75,000 in debt when you know even with your new job their won't be enough time or income to cover the debt ? Maybe the folks should be more upset that the federal government adds the entire amount of interest to these loans the from day one that the funds are dispersed . Maybe , like back in the day every one should not go to college,(because many do not belong there ) or maybe they should have to work along the way, many of us suffered through school and working ! Yes the cost of college is a joke, folks getting degrees for jobs that all is needed is a little common sense and half a brain, but would it be better off run like the k-12 public schools ? I think we all know the answer to that, NO !

  4. Nothing new for a politician , get elected change your position. This is only a move to change the definition of marriage. These groups would not be satisfied even if the laws were changed to give these folks all the rights of married couples, which I would have no problem with, they want to re-define marriage period. Leave the term marriage , for it's original intent.

  5. If this passes what will keep 2 straight folks of the same sex from marrying just for the benefits ? Maybe some elderly friends will get "married" so the other would be entitiled to say a pension or insuarnce benefits. What will they make do make em prove they are gay ?

  7. The Republican-controlled chamber voted 36-12 Thursday for House Bill 1585, with every Democrat except state Sen. Frank Mrvan, D-Hammond, voting no.
    So not one Democrat other than Mrvan was willing to support the voters of Griffith who want out of Cal township ? I guess your votes don't mean as much as those in Gary ! Keep voting for these Democrats who want to take your money, for their power ?
