- What surprised me when I observed the trial a few days ago is the lack of seriousness by McCowans family. I could not get over the fact that they were laughing and joking and playing with each others hair. It was hard to watch Bach's family watching them looking somber (because they lost their child!!!) while the McCowans were making jokes. Do they not realize that someone is dead and this is a murder trial? Even if Dustin didn't kill Amanda, they should show some respect.
