  1. Ha only 2%...I would've aimed for 5%! As for the teachers being upset, if you don't like the salary you're paid then go find employment elsewhere. Are you forced to teach?

  3. Ouch...glad I'm not an Indiana educator. I think the teachers should realize two things here: 1.) If you get cut/RIF'd you might have some competition.
    2.) School is a business.

  4. Chris nobody wants to witness his/her area going downhill, but if you don't think that "wave" I speak of will not introduce itself to Schererville then go ask Highland/Griffith. Sorry but it's coming...go to your local Walmart on Rt. 41 or drive through Sherwood Lake apartments. All Schererville needs is a couple "luxury" apartment complexes constructed that residents don't want, more duplex/townhomes that the residents in the higher end subdivisions don't want, and some more rentals then you'll really speed-up the process.

  5. Good luck Crown Point/Winfield, St. John, Schererville, and Hobart. The wave that has been coming for you has finally hit the beach. The Westfield Mall is the new Gary Village and Hammond Woodmar Mall. It seems like in the last 4 years it's impossible to visit anything along Rt. 30 without running into ghetto. It doesn't matter how many cops you throw on the streets that will not solve this problem. I bet if 25 cars were pulled over in that area, 13 wouldn't have the correct registration or wouldn't be insured! Also, be careful not to single anyone out or discriminate...glad I sold my home!
