  2. Sadly I don't think that area is worth restoring. You restore it and then the people who can afford to live there wouldn't want to. I drive past that area everyday. I imagine in their hay-day those house were cute and quaint and kids ran the streets. When I drive by I can envision the flower boxes in full bloom... but it's far from that these days.

  4. Don't get me wrong I completely agree with you! The home plays a HUGE part I understand that....first hand! I have several friends who are awesome teachers and our constantly dealing with parents who either just don't care or nothing is ever their child's fault. I just don't think anyone with a degree and knowledge can walk into an over crowded classroom and be successful.

  5. Reading this evokes so many emotions. Don't we want our children to get the best education possible? Allow for more flexibililty in hiring? I know so many college grades that have teaching degrees that would be awesome teachers but the jobs are just not there...I also know awesome teachers that feared they would lose their jobs with Daniels made all those cuts. As a parent it confuses me and scares me to see what our state and our country are doing to the education systems. Our children will never be able to compete with the world.

  6. I drive Cline Ave everyday. Heading north the average speed people drive is probably 75...even though the speed limit is 55. Traffic is never that busy though that someone can not go around. I happen to drive past the accident pretty much right after it happen last night and you could tell it was bad. That is a horrible exit and it is not lighted at all which makes it even worse. I drove by again at midnight and police were still out there reconstructing the accident.

  8. Usually they receive grants for these type of things and this is the way the money has to be spent. If it took one impaired driver off the street and potentially saved even one life I guess it would be worth it.
