This was sadly a bad accident that could have happened to most of us (mainly guys) MANY times during our lives.
Can't blame the parents or the land owner...it was just bad circumstances.
As far as the memorial...
If the landowner doesn't want it, that's his right. It wouldn't happen on my property either. This isn't something necessary. No one is entitled to one. It's not like depriving a family of a funeral. Where were all these roadside memorials back in the 70s, 80s and 90s? It's a bizarre, morbid FAD that's really gotten out of control within the last 10 years.
Maybe pointing out someone's typo will make you feel better about yourself.

The below was a cut and paste from another article. "my children...my children...my now X...he also held a job and owned our house".
Are you going to tell me a man wrote that?
This person is trying to get a rise out of people and doing a great job of it.
For those you thinking this person is a man (especially the fool "whatsupwitdat")....

So many children are left in peril and I applaud your persistence. Strong parents and I cannot imagine how difficult it must have been for him knowing what he heard and saw and everywhere he was taken didn't listen to help Just get paid.
I know of battling the systems for my children. My children were exposed to my now X then spouses drug use and dealing. He also held a job and owned our house (bought before marriage) so when he was finally raided and convicted I continued to argue but porter county continued my case 14 years and my X's defense attorney 1st showed how our children would be with a mother without the means or home to provide what dad could. This attorney literally made sure the kids stayed with dad and then used his over burdened dad card as a defense. I continued to find employment and a home all while begging for my children. My sons now both hate me, believe that I left them but I never did. I was ordered to return them to their problem Filled fathers home. My crime; poverty. Now my kids may forever have mental issues regarding what happened. So stand up and fight no matter how scared, weak, poor.
This ignoring the issue answer the govt has don't work.
Good job To you both
Several weeks ago this person claimed her husband used the "dad card" in court to win custody of her children. Between her husband and due to the evil court system, her children now hate her.
This person is a troll and you along with many others are being played by her.
Bet you feel stupid now.
I applaud your high moral standards and understanding of the legal system. I bet your husband and children feel the same way and are very proud of you!
All those things happen so much in your community (according to the article that is your community) that it's not considered news and doesn't get reported on. Violent, deadly crimes happening only MINUTES from your home get one or two sentences on the back page because it's now everyday life. A home invasion or drug bust in your area gets the same attention as a speeding ticket or jaywalker in Valpo.
As for the registered sex offender map...
The Family Watchdog website is great! If I type in Griffith Indiana it comes up with 371 offenders...sorry but it automatically includes Gary. I tried to move the map to the west to help you out but then it picks up places like Hammond, EC, Lansing etc. and the pervs are still in the hundreds. :(
Let's see what Valparaiso has to offer...ah, 64. And that's including everything from the Wanatah area to South Haven.
What's sad is that your area has more perverts than all of the cities within Porter, Laporte and Jasper counties combined. I can understand people in your community not being aware of that because, once again, it's an everyday type of occurrence that's not news worthy.
Vaplonative69 is 100% right.
