  1. I can sympathize with Officer Poling and the position he is in and his being pressured or adversely affected in anyway for voicing his members opposition to any appointment is sad and unfortunate but nothing less than expected. What about freedom of speech? I guess it's only permitted when one is in agreement with "big brother". Those who aren't with you must be against you.....right? There's no consideration given to the fact that the F.O.P. may have had a legitimate concern with the appointment. Immediately the assumption is they want to buck the "establishment". I'm sure there are CPPD that support the Mayor wholeheartedly but didn't agree with this appointment. Where does this leave them?........ Sure officer Poling could have reacted differently and more appropriately to the investigation but would there have been one had he not signed the letter?.......ON BEHALF OF HIS MEMBERSHIP. If every elected official took their constituents well-being the same way would we even be talking about this? I'm just sayin'
