5. To those who would criticize Mourdock for believing that good can come from bad, or beauty from ashes: Are you so blind to see the truth of that? Would you adamantly state that all rape babies are bad and evil and must be destroyed? Or that all rape embryos should be aborted? Who determines if the outcome of rape is destined to be good or bad, the mother or God? The mother has no way or knowing - she can only surmise. God has a way of knowing and is the only legitimate determiner if the baby should live or die.
