Hmmm.... No one likes cuts in services. How many other departments besides the veterans affairs were cut? As a Marine Corps Veteran I also hate to see this $$$ cut from the budget; with that being said; why did we elect those on the council? To insure our County budget (one of many reasons) stays on budget? If there is a way to fund all Departments without increasing taxes great..... if not let's work together to figure out how to fix it. Granted there will be heated debate over this. It is however time to act like adults and not storm out of a meeting when you don't get your way. It appears that the council did approve the $$$ for the Veterans. Also, why did other council members only have 2 hours to look at the proposal? The inital vote was bipatisan... so both parties had members who took their jobs seriously. While we will not all agree on issues of government ...we must find ways to make our county work as best we can. This is why we elect people; at least that is what I thought we did
