    Great question to ask legislators downstate ... that funding formula needs to change. Either change the funding formula, or vote IN legislators who will change it.

    "The only ones taxpayers have to blame are themselves. We voted for a 1% property tax cap knowing full well the bulk of school funding comes from property taxes. Now school districts across the state are complaining right and left about something we all knew would happen once we decided to cap in order to save personal income. Now the same taxpayers are wanting the same level of service all while paying less. Teachers don't teach for free, aides don't aid for free and schools don't repair themselves for free. State budgets are dependent on the taxes it receives. It gets less, it provides less."
