- All good points..........except the "difficulty to find" part. I love the fact that it is difficult to find. That way the Lake County and Chicago hoodlums and degenerates that pollute the beaches won't be able to find it. As you likely aware.....go to West Beach, the State Park or any of the National Park beaches here in Indiana on a summer weekend and you will be walking a mine field of poop-filled diapers, junk, trash, used condoms and open-air piles of human feces left behind by the neighbors to our west that slither in and then slither out on any given weekend. Can't find the Portage Beach? Great!

- It's likely a misprint (again) by the "reporter"......or possibly the ridiculousness of the Traffic Commission....but WHY would anyone put a traffic light at the curve of Lenburg Road?!? It's not an intersection and those that use the road are fully aware of the two tight curves. I've gone by there a few times and have seen a car that has gone over the edge or the northern-most curve. And, not to my or anyone else's surprise, the driver is a some young guy walking around the car with a "Boy did I _____ up!" look on his face. These knotheads that take these corners while trying to emulate a NASCAR driver are just idiots and installing a traffic signal of any kind on that curve would be a waste of money.

- An ordinance such as this is just fine without an imposable penalty attached to it. To just have the ordinance in place is a great move. If these zealots of idiocy (Westboro or anyone else) violates the ordinance, they will most likely resist and, while doing so, will commit a misdemeanor unrelated to the ordinance. Result? Arrest......and maybe a good ol' butt-kicking in the process or during the transport to the county jail. Good for you, Hebron.....put it in the books!

Is she ducking out of meetings where a vote is needed that might cost HER votes come election time? Why wasn't a reason given for her not being present?

- The most effective and very safest RR crossings are those where the drivers of vehicles obey the law and use common sense and LOOK BEFORE CROSSING! You can have 20 crossbucks and 20 lights & gates....but there will ALWAYS be some dumb$hit that goes across thinking he or she can beat the train. All the lights, gates and crossbucks in the world do not improve safety when there are idiots behind the wheel.

- This article IS a joke. No mention whatsoever of Heinhold's DUI arrest just days before the election. Nor was there any mention of Hoffman's HIGHLY questionable (possibly illegal) Jumbotron shenanigans. Political party and how much money was raised were factors that likely had nothing to do with these defeats.......getting boozed up behind a wheel and recklessly spending the money of others were the reasons.
