  1. This past summer the push was on getting students registered from school, regardless of where they lived in relation to school.

There are students registered at Roosevelt from as far away as County Line Road to the east, and past West Side High school to the west.

Some were registered from as far south as 52nd Ave & Georgia St to the south, and 2nd Ave to the north.

There are literally students registered to that school from all over the city. The reason they registered was because they were told 1.) That the education & environment would be better, of which neither is true. 2.) That bus services would be available to those students... We already know how that went.

So if you want to know why the kids aren't in school, it's because they not walking over the river and through the woods to get to 25th and Harrison.

The administration was told in the summer this would be a problem, however they're only response was we need to show Indianapolis that we have numbers signing up. We'll work out how to get them here later, just get the numbers.

    Yeah.... Right....

  2. Kudos to the 2 board members that said "No!" LaBrenda King Smith and Nellie Moore! Your district should be proud to be represented by you.

    I have two questions.

1.) Isn't the job that Gary has given him essentially what EdisonLearning, Inc. hired him to do?

2.) What in the world does Gary expect him to do in 6 months for multiple schools in the district, when Roosevelt is obviously still failing!

    Ok, I have more questions...

3.) Was fiscal responsibility given any consideration. (Barbara Leek, you are missed!)

4.) What if that 720,000 dollars was divided between the administration of the "failing" schools?

5.) No contract with EdisonLearning, Inc.... Isn't that generally reserved for someone whom has yet to earn the confidence of their employer?

6.) What about the graduating seniors, who's going to write their college recommendations. Sorry, it doesn't seem that there'll be a great demand for that service.

7.) How long will we have to wait before EdisonLearning, Inc. sues the heck out of GCSC for tampering, or something similar.

8.) How long before the new state superintendent politely requests Dr. Pruitt to write a pretty resignation letter.

9.) What is he supposed to do in 9 months? He was hired by EdisonLearning, Inc. in May of 2012. What's that 10 months?

Well according to his Link... Account that seems about right. He generally stays in a position for about 10 months.

    10.) Really, GCSC?
