I don't understand why people continue to rip on the mayor for trying to better the city. Should he let it get run down without a fight? Should he have left the lakefront surrounded by boulders and a harbor that didn't work? I don't get this infactuation from people in letting a town go under. Have pride in where you are from. Don't run to southern lake county and hide from minorities like you all do.
I am appalled that the state spends $43 million on student testing. Kudos to the state rep who wants the state to match that $43 million. Things are so screwed up in education it's downright laughable.
Why do legislators make decisions regarding education anyway? Isn't that why we have a State Super? Why can't she make decisions and these morons in Indy just vote to fund the stuff.
Check out Trestman's resume... mighty impressive in my eyes. The man has excelled wherever he's gone. Worked with some top QBs, coach in the NFL playoffs, Super Bowl, etc. Read articles about the guy, organization, passion, attention to detail, all the things that seem to make up an NFL coach.
And your comments about "getting" an offensive line... it's not too easy in the NFL. Do you see quality linemen just floating around in free agency? Or how about the draft? You aren't going to draft a lineman that isn't any better than what you have now. Why draft someone who has the same upside (or downside) as the current slugs you already have? Doesn't make sense. The O-Line will need to be molded from the current piles of s*** we currently have. Hope you can find someone in URA or the draft to complete the process.
You guys better start watching football instead of finding things to complain about time and time again. The man hasn't even coached a down for the Beas and already the "Brass don't expect much next year."
BTW QRBNST, school board members do get paid. You should appologize to JBird (whom I'm not a fan of).
But JBird, they're not wasting time. They're making decisions on what's best for the school. I don't understand you... you complain about everything. Move away if you don't like democracy. Iran has a dictator... maybe you would like that.
