  1. The cloak of anonymity @ NWI.com has run its course. Time to come out from the shadows and pen my "politically corrected" script to comply? LOL as I consider, the more things change, the more they remain the same.

One thing's for certain, it's going to get a little drab around here…

  2. LCDP Chairman McDermott, Lake County's finest bombastic knucklehead, already predicted the income tax is a done deal. Only thing to settle is the rate, 3%?

As the Gov warned LC voters years ago; you're entitled to all the lousy, crummy graft-ridden government you're prepared to pay for. And the bills come due.

CityHall, let me know how that works out for you...

  3. Rich James headline: "Not Everyone Defines Ethics The Same Way" as his opines, "seems easy, but it isn't."
    =====

OK James we get it, eleven (11) times you propped Mark Becker in your op-ed to help us define a new "ethic" pathway, succinctly acknowledging it ain't easy given the "Shared Ethics Advisory Commission under Cal Bellamy has been working on that for seven years."

It ain't easy when a vast majority of Hammond voters defined their view of ethics; electing the junior McDermott Mayor for a third term.

It ain't easy when the ruling LCDP looks to Chairman McDermott as their ethical standard, yet another term.

It ain't easy and all the more confusing when the Family Christian Center's congregation continues to look to Pastors Steve and Melodye Munsey for ethical guidance. Nor is it easy when Hammond's First Baptist Church chose Pastor Jack Schaap for his "self-proclaimed" divine guidance.

These are but a few who lead us in our ethical endeavor.

IMHO, it's as simple as "Stupid is as stupid does." Forest Gump said it best.

Please elaborate, why did Philpot reported early?

  5. Mr Speed Racer,

"On behalf of the more than 80,000 Hammond residents and businesses," echo McDermott's opening line, I'd like to thank you for an insightful overview of the junior McDermott's unethical, possibly criminal, behavior.

  6. Reason junior McDermott's cause celebre, nothing more than a jejune attempt at political posturing and propaganda. Check the opening line: "On behalf of the more than 80,000 Hammond residents and businesses," LOL, now that's a good one.

I'm in agreement with others who've noted junior didn't write this, way too polished for the likes of a bombastic knucklehead.

  7. McDermott's goon squads, a large number of city employees on city time, have been known to troll these boards. Don't be surprised when your sister is issued a construction STOP order, since she is skirting the law. Just my opinion...

  10. McDermott care, why should he Turk? Junior will settle out of court and spin how much money he saved the city in the settlement process (perception is reality).

Recall, McDermott acknowledged a few weeks back: "We're broke, and when you're broke, you got to get creative on how to make money.” LOL, a bit pathetic, eh…
