  1. Yesterday was a tough day as a friend of Toms. We started our political careers around the same time, and although he took on a much larger role in Lake County than I did we always remained friends. A few years ago when I won my local office again Tom was with me that night celebrating, I wont soon forget that. Tom has and always will be a guy who plays the cards he was dealt. I still believe Tom was given a Raw deal but I like him have accepted the situation.
    Tom and I were actually going to head to Indy for the Midwest Regional had IU been assigned there. Tom has been a lifelong IU hoops fan and it was going to be something we did before he reported for his sentence. Once IU was assigned to the East regional in D.C. along with some other factors, Tom reported early for his sentence on Tuesday.

    I expect Tom to be out in about a year, and once he does as a friend I will help rebuild he life. Thats what friends do!

  2. Let's see. Tom mistakenly takes 24K, and repays it with INTEREST! How much did the gov't spend on going after Tom? How much money will the gov't spend on housing Tom for the next 15+ months? Lets see, Tom makes an accounting mistakes and pays back the money with INTEREST, gov't makes money. Gov't will spend 10X that on court costs and housing Tom for 15 months. It doesnt make sense!

  5. If judges had the same high school education that you have he probably would have been given more time. Lucky for Tom Judges are required to attend college and law school. You know they places you've seen in movies and TV.
