Someone needs to send them information on Schaumburg IL and Phoenix Arizona. Woodfield mall in Schaumburg had redlight cameras. Everyone that received a ticket stopped shopping at the mall. They had to remove the camera's due to the sales tax revenue decline. Phoenix had speed cameras on their highways. Over a period of years the tourism revenue started declining by millions. Phoenix had to remove their camera's and even advertised the removal of them to get people to come back. Chicago is realizing that a school zone camera has to have a child present to issue a ticket. In Illinois there is legal precedent set on this, so you must have a child present to issue a ticket. They are a year behind on their camera rollout due to this issue. Why is Indiana so behind on realizing this. Other states have had enough of the cameras, Yet Indiana says Hmmm...This is a new way to get revenue..DUH..We need to stop looking like were from INDIANA....Film the people passing school buses. Yes. That is needed...Lets not penalize our hard working citizens that are merely taking their kids to school...

Ahem. Our superintendant and the writer of this article can't do math. A 244,000 dollar home is 244,000 divided by 100 which equals 2440 x the .19 cent referendum for total OVER $463.00. How do they come up with $253.00??? Let's just tell people half the amount and see if they are dumb enough to vote for it. Thats over $570.00 for a 300,000 home. It's a standard tactic for school systems to underestimate the total tax increase.
