Please Earline....be honest, if the working folks of Griffith stop contributing to the non-working folks of your district who will be the cash cow?.....you know it , the people of Griffith know it, and finally the elected officials in Indy know it.
If this is accurate I guess it's better than taking a pay cut....1% a year pay increase?, that doesn't even keep up with inflation, no wonder it's a 3 year contract. Figure decent pay increases were dropped in favor of taking care of our retirees, we'll see.

Yea...Mittal bit the big one last contract, he let US Steel settle first and he had to take the pattern......not this time though, no pattern agreement was made by the parties.
The USW must accept change, but not just roll over and die!
We must evolve with the times or we won't survive...this isn't the 50's or 60's...this is a global economy like it or not...Mittal could close shop here and still be a a rich man...we are not so vital to his survival that he's not afraid to move his operations further south into South America.
Adapt....Change....Survive!
