- Gentoo, do you not have children? Do you not have to follow rules in your every day life, your job? Freedom is one thing, following basic rules is another. These are high school kids; illegal to drink, not old enough to vote (most of them) but you want them to have the freedom to do something that goes against school policy? It's their right, right?

- Sure, hold an alternate prom so anyone can show up drunk. I hope your loved ones aren't on the road when that happens, or some stupid 16/17 year old gets alcohol poisoning because "hey, no breathylizers, no one cares".

- Good job Mr. Goetz! I hope the school board agrees and votes yes. There are rules that must be followed in our daily lives. Had drinking not been an issue in the past, this wouldn't have even had to be considered. But it has, and this is what now needs to be done. You people who disagree...would you show up for work intoxicated and KEEP your job? I can be tested at work at any time for drugs/alcohol. I knew that when I was hired. Should school students attending a school function not have to follow rules? Or should we let them do whatever they want; afterall, they will have to follow rules of "adulthood" soon enough, right?

- Just a correction mrportage....You do NOT need ALL 12 jurors to say he is innocent. You only need ONE. That is a called a hung jury and he walks. All 12 needs to say guilty for a conviction.

- Realops - First of all, I find that very hard to believe...remember, you can't believe everything you read on the internet or you may fall for a French model! Also, IF they were going to have a Health and Wellness Center for their employees it would not come from referendum money, just as the football field couldn't. Those are different funds. The referendum that was passed was for the general fund, not building fund.

- Do mascots REALLY even matter in elementary or middle schools? All I know is hey, we play Grimmer, or Pierce, etc. I have no clue what their mascots are. I never see anyone dressed up....WHO CARES.

- See above comments from chsmom. Well said. I went to a state school and got the same job after college as my Notre Dame coworkers did (engineering). We even got the same pay!! It's not always about the cost of the school or the "rating". Notre Dame is a good school, as well as many others, even state schools!
