- I vote no to any tax raise. We were duped by the states rise in the income tax a few years back in lowering the property tax foe a one percent rise in the states income tax. They get by this by raising the property values and then the taxes go up with it. Now they want to hit us again. I say stop the spending. Cut the waste. Get rid of the thief-dom politics of Lake County. All these democrats in the north end want to do is raise taxes so they can pass the money to their cronies. I say "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!" (Stolen from Alice in wonderland). :)

- Mano Mano.. I feel it is time that all the freakin townships and cities get an overhaul. Griffith deserves to wean away from Cal Town. Crown Point should shed Winfield, half of Cedar Lake, and bits of St. John. The St. John Township has become a gross populated mess and that should be reorganized so St. John, Schererville, and Dryer take care their own areas. They way this county has been set up with all the overlapping of cities and towns under the passe townships is a thing of the yesteryear and should be restructured.
