- Shovelhead, you need to go to your sand box and bury your head. Bicycles have every right according to Indiana State Laws to be on any highway or road unless posted otherwise. If they bother you my advice is stay out of Liberty, Jackson, and Duneland townships in Porter County, most of northern LaPorte County and New Buffalo MI. This is a Great Event for a very good cause. Just my opinion.

- Let me start this off with I don't live in Chesterton and I am not a firefighter. I worked at the Chesterton Fire Station for 5 days in July and August and yes I have to agree, the firefighters just sat around and did nothing except for lets see, wash every window in the station, cleaned the floors, tested every piece of emergency equipment on every vehicle, did repair work on trucks, responded to many medical assist calls, responded to a couple false alarms and several fire investigations, doing required paper work and reports and a couple times I even caught most of them in the dinning area trying to eat. Now the next time you need emergency assistance call your buddy sitting on a bar stool down the street because in your opinions, the Chesterton and every other Fire Department is too busy sitting around to respond.

- The point here I will say isn't smoking or not, it's about the ban in the so called PUBLIC places. I worked out the deal to buy my place of business, I pay the mortgage, I pay the taxes, I pay the insurance, I pay my employees, I pay for the repairs, and I pay the utilities, Its mine not the publics. Its the same thing as in 1935 Germany take the rights of a few away and not many notice or even care. Pretty soon they will be taking away something that you care about then you will care. At that point I hope there is still time to do something about it.
